#2: The old House of Representatives

#3: The new House of Representatives

#4: The SESCO roundabout fountain

evening shots

We were about to go out for our dinner in town when I spotted this guy on our fence. I didnt want to waste the opportunity so I spent about 10 minutes to capture its images on camera.

The images below were taken after our dinner. I have always wanted to photograph the street lights using longer shutter speed. I used several settings to capture the images.

my new "heaven" for landscape photography

My friend of mine introduced this place to me today. It is in Payang, about 20 minutes drive from Serian Town, along Tebedu Road. He called this "King David" for it is a suitable place for a retreat after long long working hours. To me, this place is a photographer's heaven.. the view of paddy fields, swamp, rivers and mountains... woww..it really blew me away. I will go back to that place again in the near future.

These images were taken on the way to Payang. We stopped by a few times at some paddy fields just by the roadside and spent some moments to admire and capture some images.

After the haze.. back to landscape

We were on our way back home after sending my parents to our kampung this morning. I noticed that the haze was not that bad compared with the past few weeks. I took some shots at these spots before but the images were not so good. So, I decided to retake the shots. I stopped by the roadside and snap...snap... Below are some of the images.

Trying something else for a change

The weather was not so good these few days and has been keeping me at home. It didnt permit me to go out to hunt for better subjects outside. To kill some time, I decided to photograph something else for a change. I also managed to make myself my own instant DIY mini studio out of a cardboard box. Below are the images that I took at home.

she is no star but sounded like one..

Yup...she has powerful and wonderful voice. The moment I heard her singing at my client's wedding dinner, I just couldnt resist to come closer to take some shots of her. Pure local talent indeed.

Knock ourselves out with these..

I have always wanted to photograph these two bottles. They are not really a Chivas & Ballantine. Those bottles are filled with 5 year old rice wine made by my mother-in-law. She makes good rice wine. There are still some more bottles in the cabinet but these two really caught my intention because of their shapes & sizes.

Nasty II, III & IV...just for comparison

I've shot this guy before and I was drawn to shoot it again this morning. This time I was a bit better equipped with a UV filter attached to my tammy 70-300mm. Again, it was hand held. A tripod is useless for shooting this guy.

I guess that the filter did its job quite alright and the morning sunlight was not too harsh and spoil the images.

A cancelled trip made me shoot these images

I was planning a trip to a waterfall with a friend but it was cancelled due to unexpected things. The weather was bad too. It's terribly hazy here! I was a bit disappointed but there was nothing else I could do. I had to go back home. I didnt want to go back empty handed, so I stopped a few times to take some shots along the way. Below are the shots.
